History of the Club

Our club logo was created when the club was founded in the early ’70’s.   It was a contest and was created by Dick Netzer, then 14.

We received this from Dick: “I googled Coloma, WI just to see what my old home town was up to. When I ran across the Coloma Pathfinders Snowmobile Club website, to my delight I was surprised to see the patch I designed way back in 1971 when I was 14 years old is still in use. I was then named a life member, but throughout the years had moved to Olympia, WA. I just wanted to say Hi and thank you for and old memory. My dad, Bob Netzer, used to own the meat packing plant south of town “Coloma Meat Products”. We were one of the first to own a snowmobile in Waushara County along with Carl Leitz and others. One of the main trails used to come through our yard. When a group of people wanted to ride we would stop and ask others if they wanted to join along. Before you’d know it we’d have 20 to 30 sleds. I really miss snowmobiling as we don’t really get any snow east of the Cascades. Thanks for a trip down memory lane.
